I was browsing my Facebook page and noticed that I’ve managed to come up with several words of wisdom over the past few months through my status updates. Some are topical and have lost their punch but there are several others that I thought merited compilation here on the blog. Since status updates are so ephemeral in nature, do “like” the Facebook page if you’d like the updates as and when they show up.
If not, just taste 15 of them here below. If they seem rather disjointed, keep in mind that they were just nuggets (I hope of something akin to wisdom) that appeared scattered over weeks and months.

**2. Writing eats up time and gets out of control but isn’t it better than other addictions?
**3. Commuting on the subway is the time for unbalanced reading.
**4. Cafe-writing is 10% writing and 90% people-watching.
**5. If you’ve never sat down and written something just because you’ve wanted to, try it. It’s the only kind of writing that makes you feel better.
**6. Writing is not just about the extraordinary moments. It’s about making the ordinary moments extraordinary.
**7. We’re so conscious of wasting money but not of wasting a good thought. Save those thoughts I say!
**8. Sometimes life seems too short but so does a good book!
**9. Quick! Quick! Finish that thought. Write it down. You never know what tomorrow will bring!
**10. Drowsiness on a Friday afternoon for avid writers disappears as soon as it’s time to go out.
**11. You never know which parts people will like and which parts they won’t. The best you can do is finish it and put it out there.
**12. If you can’t handle it in real life, put it in a book.
**13. Creativity can embellish all areas of human endeavour.
**14. Writers don’t need to have the last word. They just want to write about when you think you do
**15. The best writing happens when you’re not trying to make the best writing happen!
